Did you know that our library offers Tuesday evening concerts on its front lawn, under the pagoda tree?
I think I knew, but forgot, about these concerts, but was reminded last night on my walk down to the lighthouse for a family photo shoot when I came upon Joe Keenan performing to a pretty full lawn - a delightful scene for a summer's evening, and I certainly would have stayed to listen had I not another engagement. Joe has been around for a while, and is pretty well known in the Irish trad scene (here and here are a couple more pics of Joe, performing in a recent Paddy Keenan concert in VH).
Joe sings a hauntingly beautiful song, a capella, about an Aquinnah girl. |

And we've been doing it for two years now! Next week is the Flying Elbows Fiddle Band. All are welcome. BTW, that was Grammy-winning guitarist John Cruz playing with Joe last night.
