Welcome. Edgartown News was born from the simple fact that I have ink and Dektol in my veins and I need to write and photograph more than I need air or food, and from my love for this little town where I grew up and raised my family, the town I have left a few times but can't quite shake for good. Here you will find the wanderings and musings, photographs and commentary; the people, places, and happenings - past and present - of a small island town: my home town.

Soup Supper, Monday January 18, 2011
The soup supper at the Methodist Church was sparsely attended this week, probably because it was Martin Luther King's birthday, but it was fun to stop in and say hello to the stalwarts.
Main Street, waxing gibbous moon rising.
John Washbrook and helper serve up Salisbury steak and mashed potatoes.
Cynthia Schilling and Gerry Jeffers
Dennie Rose, allowed over the border for the evening from Oak Bluffs...love ya, Dennie.
The soup supper is as much about socializing as it is about the food.
