Welcome. Edgartown News was born from the simple fact that I have ink and Dektol in my veins and I need to write and photograph more than I need air or food, and from my love for this little town where I grew up and raised my family, the town I have left a few times but can't quite shake for good. Here you will find the wanderings and musings, photographs and commentary; the people, places, and happenings - past and present - of a small island town: my home town.

Four Minutes on Church Street

What the VTA has done to the historic district in downtown Edgartown is a disgrace, and if you think things will improve after they have installed their precious charging pads and developed the visitor center, you are delusional. Shame on everyone involved with this boondoggle.

  1. Sara, you are absolutely correct, it is a disgrace!
How anyone can say they love this town and have participated in this happening, is beyond understanding.
It makes one suspect that there is more going on than meets the eye.
