Welcome. Edgartown News was born from the simple fact that I have ink and Dektol in my veins and I need to write and photograph more than I need air or food, and from my love for this little town where I grew up and raised my family, the town I have left a few times but can't quite shake for good. Here you will find the wanderings and musings, photographs and commentary; the people, places, and happenings - past and present - of a small island town: my home town.

The Town Clock Song, Take II

Okay, due to sound issues in yesterday's recording, I re-recorded the Town Clock Song with proper equipment this time, my 5D/H4N Zoom combo. This should work. One of the many songs I've written in the past year for my young grandchildren (a lot of it on the fly, as requested - "Grandma, sing about fire trucks..."), this one written in particular for the middle guy, headed off to dreamland, here - now 2 1/2 - since he happens to love the Edgartown town clock tower and the bell, having seen it from my window and heard the bell every hour two days a week since he was born.
