I lugged the big cameras, too, but I think I prefer the Instagrams from the phone, what with life sometimes looking better in black and white, slightly out of focus, and down-rezzed.
Welcome. Edgartown News was born from the simple fact that I have ink and Dektol in my veins and I need to write and photograph more than I need air or food, and from my love for this little town where I grew up and raised my family, the town I have left a few times but can't quite shake for good. Here you will find the wanderings and musings, photographs and commentary; the people, places, and happenings - past and present - of a small island town: my home town.

Insta-fair
The Edgartown girl ventured all the way up to West Tisbury this week, to the fair - who can resist? It was fun, but the problem is, I always go expecting to find the old gang just as we were when we were teenagers. Curiously, some of us are dead, some have moved away, some just don't bother to go anymore, and the rest of us are now white-haired, lined up at the kiddy rides photographing our grandchildren. I just can't wrap my brain around all this.
I lugged the big cameras, too, but I think I prefer the Instagrams from the phone, what with life sometimes looking better in black and white, slightly out of focus, and down-rezzed.
