Welcome. Edgartown News was born from the simple fact that I have ink and Dektol in my veins and I need to write and photograph more than I need air or food, and from my love for this little town where I grew up and raised my family, the town I have left a few times but can't quite shake for good. Here you will find the wanderings and musings, photographs and commentary; the people, places, and happenings - past and present - of a small island town: my home town.

Do You See What I See?
I was beyond thrilled last night when I looked out my window and saw that the Star of Bethlehem that has graced the top of the town clock every Christmas for the past 60 years had been installed and turned on; even more so by the fact that it has been returned to its original, simple state (the past couple of years it had been bedecked with strings of colored lights which gave less the appearance of a star and more the illusion of a party hat).
