Welcome. Edgartown News was born from the simple fact that I have ink and Dektol in my veins and I need to write and photograph more than I need air or food, and from my love for this little town where I grew up and raised my family, the town I have left a few times but can't quite shake for good. Here you will find the wanderings and musings, photographs and commentary; the people, places, and happenings - past and present - of a small island town: my home town.

Eventide Stroll
A few from a meander around Hough's Pond - and beyond - last night, a beautiful evening at the end of a full and satisfying work day, the woods and marshes resounding with red-winged blackbird song from tree-top to tree-top. The red-winged blackbird is not, however, keen on being photographed, it seems, as every time I moved in for a closer or better angle, he or she was off.

Red Umbrella
I love a rainy day, and I love living on Main Street where sometimes photos come looking for me rather than the other way around.
